What We Do

The Wisconsin Damage Prevention Council consists of representatives from both contractors and facility owners.

The purpose of this council is to provide save and damage prevention information as it relates to Wisconsin's construction community (public, private and individual).

Mission

To educate and promote a safe work environment while maintaining the integrity of overhead and underground utility facilities through damage prevention best practices.

Goals

• Prevent damage to all overhead and underground utilities
• Promote public and contractor safety awareness
• Provide a forum that fosters communication and cooperation
• Provide education through excavator safety meetings
• Ensure workers leave the worksite as healthy as when they arrived
• Support Diggers Hotline and Wisconsin State Statute 182.0175
• Comply with DOT and OSHA regulations
