The long-used local Milwaukee phone number (414) 259-1181 has been retired. With the majority of calls coming in on the toll free (800) 242-8511 and the introduction of the three-digit dialing code 811, the need for a local Milwaukee number is less than before. As a result the number is no longer in service.
